New Year's Resolutions

Updated: Jan 3, 2018

As 2017 comes to end the resolutions begin to amass furiously. But why wait?

Happy Friday morning to everyone. It's a paltry 7 degrees here in Newburyport, Massachusetts as I head downtown to one of the many coffee shops here to get some work in. The last weekend of the year is upon us and I'm sure everyone is scattering around trying to think of a New Year's resolution to make for 2018. Well, I am here to tell you to stop the scattering. Why must you wait for when the calendar turns over to go after the things that you want here and now? Do you not want to make the most of these last days of 2017 and have momentum going into the new year? If you want to start getting better than you need to stop waiting around for a silly ball to drop. Before you know it, it's going to be mid-February and you're going to be kissing those resolutions goodbye. Opportunities will continue to pass you by as you're sitting around waiting for some type of miracle to happen. That miracle is you getting off your couch and putting your ass into gear to work to get better in whatever endeavor you're after or whatever goal you wish to obtain. If you continue to do what you've always done then you'll continue to get the results you've always gotten. So, let's go and start that resolution right now and we'll be entering 2018 like a locomotive full steam ahead. It all starts right now. Have a fabulous Friday, stay warm!

S.M.A.R.T.

When making goals follow the acronym of S.M.A.R.T. Make sure your goal is specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and have a time-frame to achieve the goal.
